HOE PROMO

With the economy getting Joe Frazier’d right now…Everyone has been forced to be more innovative and cost efficient in their marketing and promotion of their products especially the music industry. Investors and record labels no longer have the luxury of throwing stacks out without a promising return of their investment so now the artist must become the BAWSE…Need to promo a new single? Pose and send a jpeg of them there nipples.. Trying to rejuvenate your rap career? Catch a small charge and make a BIG deal about it.What if there isn’t really anything special about you? Well…I am so glad that you asked because we have the perfect remedy for that there as well…Just go and cop you a handy cam and film people that are more interesting than you are…and if that person just so happens to have a backside like they should be adjacent to Big Brown in the Kentucky Derby…well…you just became relevant again. There are several ways to get your promo popping but I have peeped that the best promo is HOE PROMO (Hoes don’t get upset. I just used those words because it rhymed)…Yup, that’s right Hoe Promo…But don’t get it twisted this promo can really jump start ones career or make sure that your career never leaves the pallet…Here are some examples of GOOD and BAD hoe promo via two up and coming Hip-Hop artist

GOOD- Now Drake has been doing all the right things as of late. He has some extra dope music and is being co-signed by the hottest artists in the game and seemingly right on que…he is rumored to be swapping bodily fluids with the “You better treat a woman Right” poster child, Rihanna. When I think of a good marketing plan, I tend to remember the words of Shawn Carter, “First, I grab their ears then I grab their hearts” …and that is exactly what Drake is doing..He has grabbed the world’s attention with his dope mixtapes: Comeback Season & So Far Gone…And now women who never heard of him are asking who is this “new” guy that is dating RiRi? Check mate.

BAD- Now there is Charles Hamilton who has put out more free music online than ANY artist as of late and was quickly generating a buzz as one of the “NEXT” artist. The newest addition to the Interscope roster has been slapped on the covers of XXL and Fader Magazine and has had video “Brooklyn Girls” in the MTV rotations. But last week, I walked in the room and my girl was watching a video of Hamilton getting his pink headphones rocked by his girl and the 1^st thing that I asked was Do You Know Who Charles Hamilton is? Never heard of him until now was the reply from that sexy lil chocolate thing at the desk my girl…Now when someone’s first time seeing you as a rap artist is when your less than attractive girl is putting those 5th ward B’s on you..well…my friend that is BAD HOE PROMO. Seems like she is an enforcer of #1 as well. -Fresh
